Cats and Weather Systems

Thursday started out with a storm cloud and my son telling me that cats control the weather.

"I've asked BB to make it rain all day today. If he does, I told him I'd give him cat treats when I get home from school," he said. "That's interesting," I replied with sincere interest, "I didn't know he was the one to ask." "He is. Cats control the weather, you know."

I thought about cats, weather systems, and the interesting things at work in my eight year old mystic's mind for much of the morning. Felines commanding rain clouds. A+, son. Interesting that he bribed the cat... but, it did rain most of that day. So maybe that was the deal closer.

Thursday ended with me remembering that he's currently reading Erin Hunter's Warrior Cat series. I'm really looking forward to reading them now too. I think a little bit of the Weather-God BB was inspired by these these cat warrior stories.
